At its Autumn session in November 2006, the Holy Assembly of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church accepted petition of retired Bishop of Herzegovina and Zahumlje Atanasije (Jevtić) and released him from the membership of Jasenovac Committee. Bishop Atanasije founded Jasenovac Committee and presided over it in the beginning and he will be missed. At the same time, the Holy Assembly of Bishops included into the Committee His Grace Bishop of Gornji Karlovac Gerasim and Mr. Milojko Budimir from Belgrade, a secretary of the Association of the Serbs from Croatia
